URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio TX 233 AM CST Fri Feb 21 2025 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 13 degrees in the Hill Country, southern Edwards Plateau and Interstate 35 corridor near and north of Austin. Very cold wind chills as low as 18 degrees for the remainder of the Interstate 35 corridor and coastal plains. * WHERE...Most of south central Texas. * WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
