URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Binghamton NY 838 PM EST Thu Feb 13 2025 ...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches and localized amounts of over 15 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph this evening, decreasing to 20 to 25 mph gusts by Friday morning. * WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
