URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Eureka CA 1045 PM PST Sat Jan 25 2025 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 25 expected. * WHERE...Del Norte, Humboldt, and Mendocino Coast, and Southern Mendocino Interior. * WHEN...Until 9 AM PST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges. There is an increased risk of tree branches and other debris on roadways. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
