very strong santa ana winds are developing today and peaking this afternoon into tuesday morning. humidities will drastically lower to the single digits. along with the extremely dry fuels, this will create extremely critical fire-weather conditions and rapid fire spread with any fires. thereafter, with dry conditions lasting through at least thursday, and additional rounds of enhanced offshore flow likely wednesday night through thursday. for this reason a fire weather watch is in effect tuesday night through thursday.
