URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA 1131 PM PST Mon Jan 6 2025 ...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM TUESDAY TO 6 PM PST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Los Angeles County Beaches, Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown Los Angeles, and Palos Verdes Hills. * WHEN...From 4 PM Tuesday to 6 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest chances of strong and damaging winds are the Palos Verdes area, the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills and areas adjacent to the Sepulveda Pass.
