URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fort Worth TX 205 AM CST Mon Jan 6 2025 ...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills between 5 and 10 above zero. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and south central Texas. * WHEN...Until 10 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 5 above zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on vulnerable family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
