Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches above 7000 feet with up to 12 inches along highest mountain peaks west of Highway 89. 1 to 4 inches at Lake Tahoe level. Wind gusts up to 45 mph with ridge winds gusting over 100 mph. Wave heights of 2 to 4 feet on Lake Tahoe. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From 10 AM to 10 PM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially across mountain passes. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusts up to 45 mph will create choppy waters on Lake Tahoe, resulting in dangerous boating conditions.
