Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 330 AM EST Thu Nov 14 2024 ...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS THURSDAY IN RHODE ISLAND... Although northerly winds will be around 5 to 15 mph in Rhode Island today, the very dry ground along with relative humidities during the afternoon ranging from 30 to 40 percent will again lead to elevated fire weather concerns. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Use caution when handling and disposing of ignition sources such as matches and cigarettes.
