URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 140 PM AKDT Mon Oct 21 2024 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM AKDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snowfall and blowing snow is expected. Significant blowing and drifting snowfall is possible along the highway summits with severely reduced visibility. Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Dalton Highway Summits. * WHEN...Until 4 PM AKDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...With heavy snowfall and gusty winds we could see blizzard like conditions with visibilities near 0 at times.
