The South Fork and Salt burn scars in... North Central Otero in south central New Mexico... * Until 800 PM MDT. * At 204 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the South Fork and Salt burn scars. Between 0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.8 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the area. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
