Northwestern Surry County in northwestern North Carolina... * Until 1245 AM EDT Monday. * At 643 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 30 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
