URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Great Falls MT 215 AM MDT Tue Apr 30 2024 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON MDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 8 inches, with the greatest amounts near the Canadian border and the higher terrain of the Southern Rocky Mountain Front. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Northern High Plains and Southern Rocky Mountain Front. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to noon MDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Slush and or snow covered roads could cause difficult travel conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst roadway impacts will occur during the overnight and morning hours. The heavy wet snow may cause isolated power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
