URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Spokane WA Issued by National Weather Service Pendleton OR 1206 PM PST Sat Feb 24 2024 ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SUNDAY TO 10 AM PST MONDAY ABOVE 3000 FEET... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 16 inches above 3000 feet and up to 2 inches below 3000 feet. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Fourth Of July Pass, Priest River, Dobson Pass, St. Maries, Bonners Ferry, Osburn, Pinehurst, Lookout Pass, Eastport, Wallace, Clark Fork, Sandpoint, Kellogg, Mullan, Schweitzer Mountain Road, Athol, and Fernwood. * WHEN...From 11 AM Sunday to 10 AM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Expect winter driving conditions in the mountains especially Sunday night into Monday morning. Ridges exposed to a west or southwest wind will experience blowing and drifting snow. Isolated power outages may also occur due to the gusty winds. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to an inch per hour will be possible in the mountains Sunday night leading to rapid accumulations above 3000 feet.
