BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Flood Warning National Weather Service San Francisco CA 214 PM PST Fri Nov 22 2024 ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM PST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...South Central Sonoma County. * WHEN...Until 315 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 213 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 3.5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Boyes Hot Springs, Eldridge, Glen Ellen, Fetters Hot Springs-Agua Caliente, Fetters Hot Spring, El Verano and Temelec. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
