Flood Advisory National Weather Service San Francisco CA 1117 PM PST Wed Nov 20 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM PST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Alameda County north of downtown Oakland, western Contra Costa County and southern Marin County. * WHEN...Until 515 AM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1115 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Several flooding reports are already coming in from Contra Costa County. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Concord, Berkeley, Richmond, Mountain View, Walnut Creek, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, San Pablo, Lafayette, El Cerrito, Hercules, Albany, Pinole, Orinda, Moraga, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Piedmont and Emeryville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
